Polo has been a family pet for 11 years where he enjoyed the company of other dogs, and has been known to like cats on occasion. Now, at the ACC, where he was surrendered for "no time," Polo spends most of his day in a cage. No couch time, no familiar routine. Polo walks calmly on the leash, is friendly towards everyone and everything, and even "tolerates all handling" at the ACC. This older gentleman should not spend one more minute at the ACC. If he does, he may die there. We all know how wrong it would be for Polo to take his last breath on the euth table at the ACC. Only we can prevent it from happening. Save Polo tonight.
Polo walks calmly on the leash and was sociable toward the handler during the assessment - soft body, low wag. He was calm and relaxed during handling and when playing tag with assessor. He did not resist being handled while eating, and was easily pushed out of the food bowl. Polo was not interested in toys or rawhides and was relaxed when approaching the helper dog, but was not playful.
