Own Your Rare 'Key Date' PCGS 1889 CC Morgan Silver Dollar for sale in Brooklyn, New York

$597

1889 is the "Key Date" to the Carson City Morgan Dollar Series and is rare in all grades when you can find one. Many coin dealers don't have any in stock.
When you own numismatic coins, you want to own "Key Dates." 'Key Date' coins have historically appreciated faster in value during up market coin cycles and are highly sought after by investors and collectors. You'll own something that other people want and look for.
Certain dates in the Carson City Morgan dollar series have appreciated faster than others and the coin available to you is one of them.
Most Morgan dollars have 'common dates' (the year they were made). This means millions of them were minted (or made) that year and nothing is really special about them because of high supply and low demand. "Key Date" coins have low mintages and high buyer demand. (People like to own things that are rare and unique. That's why one silver dollar costs a low amount (a common date) and another silver dollar commands thousands or more (a 'Key Date').)
Millions of Morgan silver dollars have been destroyed and or lost in circulation making them hard to find unless you get them from an investor or collector.
You had several U.S. Mints that produced Morgan dollars: The San Francisco Mint, the Denver Mint, the New Orleans Mint, the Carson City Mint, and the P mint (no, that's not the peppermint it's the Philadelphia Mint).
The Carson City Mint (Carson City, Nevada) was open for a limited time and shut down in 1893. Coins from the Carson City Mint are rare and harder to find than most coins from all the other U.S. mints. Only coins made from 90% silver or gold were minted there (unlike the coins in your pocket or purse). 1889 is the prestige date (Key Date) of the Carson City series.
If you know someone who owns Morgan Dollars, 9 times out of 10 they won't have an 1889 CC Morgan Dollar. It will be some other date from one of the other mints unless they're an investor or collector who specifically searched to find one. When you own this coin you'll be holding history in low supply and high demand in your hand.
It's one of the few things that have maintained and gone up in value over the years, unlike today's low interest rates. This is from the era where money was made from real silver and gold. This coin is 90% silver and has weight to it. For some reason, my paper dollars seem to fly away with the breeze.
This coin is Certified by the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) as PCGS Genuine - VG (very good) Details - rim damage (it has a tiny rim nick). You have the safety of knowing that this 'Key Date' was authenticated by one of the best coin grading services in the business.
This silver dollar is one of the few remaining survivors of the series because millions of Morgan dollars were destroyed and lost in circulation. She hasn't seen any of her family members in years. Give her a place in your home.
